Universal Music Studios
Universal Music has recently partnered with DECA Ontario.
They are willing to bring out musical artists and keynote speakers to come and speak at your school!!! So, if you, or the Vice-Principal or the coordinator for assemblies wants to see artists like Shiloh or the Stereos…. and others, come to your school, contact them directly at 416 850-9055 and ask for Meghan meghan@burrisneiman.com or Kelsey kelsey@burrisneiman.com.
You can do it as a fundraiser, an assembly, or even an evening event….. options are limitless!! There might be a small cost but usually the school can fund the expense…. especially if its done as a keynote address within an assembly!!
Program Outline
The program is designed to motivate students to work hard and complete their education in order to achieve success. The MC and the Artist(s) will encourage students to follow their dreams no matter how unattainable they may seem. The assembly will focus on hard work, education, perseverance, and ingenuity. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about some of the different “behind the scenes” careers in the music industry, which will allow them to see the big picture and understand what makes the industry so exciting. Students will walk away with a deeper understanding of the importance of hard work in achieving their goals, and the knowledge that there are many exciting careers available to them if they work hard and complete their education.
Introduction
The MC Joshua Barclay will give a brief introduction of the program and introduce the main message of dreaming big and working hard to achieve your dreams. Joshua will also introduce the Artist in attendance that day.
Joshua Barclay’s Story
The MC Joshua Barclay will tell his story. He will speak about his background, how he began working at Universal Music, what he did to get where he is today, as well as the struggles he faced along the way. Joshua will focus on how hard work and perseverance has allowed him to achieve his goals.
Jobs within the industry
Joshua Barclay will give students a brief overview of some of the many exiting jobs that exist “behind the scenes” in the Music Industry. This portion of the program will give students the opportunity to learn about many exciting careers that are available to them. Joshua will stress the importance of education in order to obtain fulfilling and promising careers in an exciting industry.

Artist
The Artist in attendance will give a narrative about themselves and the struggles they have faced to get where they are today. They will also focus on hard work and perseverance. The Artist will then participate in a Question and Answer period, giving the students the chance to interact with the Artist. The possibility of a performance will depend on which Artist is in attendance that day.
Conclusion
Joshua Barclay will give a brief conclusion, which will include thanking the many people and companies who helped make Uni-Community possible.
