BEING A JUDGE

Judges are an imperative part of DECA competitions. As a DECA Judge, you will use your background in business, entrepreneurship, marketing, and in life, to evaluate students in one of over 40 different events (for a complete list of events, please see Competitive Events). DECA Ontario is always looking for industry professionals interested in getting involved in their local communities through Regional Competitions, and the community at large through the Provincial Competition.
When you volunteer to judge a DECA event, you are acting as a coach for bright and motivated students. Judges are encouraged to not only evaluate students based on specific criteria, but also provide written feedback for improvement. Many of our students are members throughout their high school careers and will use your constructive and professional feedback to help them perform better next time.
